Medical Assistant/Secretary (Full-Time)

Responsibilities:

  • Welcomes and announces all consumers and visitors and directs them to the appropriate personnel
  • Answers all incoming phone calls, takes messages, and directs them to the appropriate personnel
  • Responds to consumer questions and directs all clinical question to clinical personnel
  • Maintains an accurate log of appointments utilizing our electronic medical records
  • Performs clerical duties that include copying, filing, pulling and putting away consumer charts
  • Completes fee counseling with all new consumers and maintains up to date electronic chart information
  • Measures vital signs for our consumers, including temperature, pulse rate, weight, height, and blood pressure, and documents this information into the consumer’s electronic chart
  • Provides assistance as needed to psychiatrists, APNs, and RNs

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Clinical Medical Assistant certification
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Excellent communication skills and a team player
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiarity with general office equipment use

Shift: Tuesday and Thursday as a Medical Assistant in our Lyndhurst location, 8:45am-6:30pm, Monday and Wednesday as a Secretary in our Hackensack location, 8:45am-5pm, Fridays are flexible and arranged with supervisor
