Responsibilities

• Provides consistent medication education to consumers and provides treatment recommendations as needed

• Works with the staff psychiatrist in dispensing the correct medication and identifying side effects

• Provides supervision to nursing staff and ensures completion of performance reviews

• Completes prior authorizations

• Ensures the availability of medical supplies.

• Coordinates TB testing for new staff members.

• Ensures compliance to applicable OSHA regulations in the safe and proper disposal of bio-hazardous materials
