YMHFA is for any adults who interact with young people.
The Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) course focuses on recognizing the patterns of thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and appearance that show there might be a problem rather than focusing on a specific illness. This specially designed course helps participants understand the unique circumstances that surround physical, social, emotional, and mental development in young people and its effect on their mental health.
Requirements
Participants must be at least 18 years old to enroll in a course.
All courses are taught in person and are scheduled in either a one-session
(7-hour) day or a two-session (3.5 hours each) within four calendar days
(i.e. Monday and Thursday, Tuesday and Friday, or Tuesday/Wednesday)
