Residential Experience
KARE (Kearny Adolescent Residential Experience) is a community-based residential treatment program for adolescents ages 15-17. This supportive setting is home to a maximum of nine adolescents and is fully supervised 24/7. KARE residents have experienced significant challenges that may have necessitated inpatient psychiatric treatment or placement in an out-of-home treatment facility. Residents typically live in KARE for six to nine months as they journey toward wellness by managing their life circumstances, developing coping strategies, understanding self-care, learning life skills, and forging healthy relationships

Eligibility Criteria
Teens (15 – 17 years old) with psychiatric conditions that have interrupted or negatively impacted their functioning in the home, school, or community.
